Singer was born November 26th 1986, in Santa Monica California. She is the daughter of Vincenzo Barba the father of her and Valerie Barba. The family relocated from Point Pleasant, New Jersey, at 6. Red Bank Catholic High School is where she received her education formal in New Jersey. After graduating from Catholic University with a Bachelor's in Architecture, she continued her studies at the college. In addition, she was a player on the violin at the age of 4 and was known by the name of Violin Lady. Because of her talent, she was called by this name. She also taught the violin to children in the area. She also sang Free throughout 1976 when she made the auditions for the sixth season of American Idol at age 19.
